Join me for an early Earth Day Celebration on Sunday, April 19th from 12:00 - 3:00PM. Space is limited to 8 patricipants!

We will begin by meeting at Evergreen and enjoying pre-hike snacks and tea, and then carpool over to a local hike where we will hike (rain or shine!) for approximately 75 minutes. Once we finish hiking, we'll head back to the office for a yoga class and then end with community acupunture treatment in Savasana.

We will use gentle yoga poses to open the body, release tension, and promote flow. After the movement portion of the class into an extended Savasana (rest pose) where you will receive acupuncture treatment on acupoints chosen for the class theme. All levels are welcome to this class, no yoga experience needed - first timers and yogis are welcome to this all levels offering. You will experience settling in your mind and being, and return to an embodied state of relaxation.

Reclaim Yourself:
A Journey Through The Diaphragm

If you were raised in a culture shaped by Western medicine, you’re probably accustomed to thinking of your organs as having purely physical functions. In Chinese medicine, body, mind, and spirit are not separate. Every physical structure also has emotional and spiritual functions.

From this perspective, the diaphragm can be understood as the organ of repression. It forms a boundary between what shines in the daylight of the heart and mind and what is pushed into the darkness of the gut.

By understanding repression through the lens of Chinese Medicine, you will see how it can be a source of illness and pain. We will use experiential practices to explore our inner domain and release those constrictions for greater health and ease of being.

As the diaphragm softens, breath deepens, and space opens, many people experience a renewed sense of ease, clarity, and alignment with who they truly are.

The retreat includes:

  • Cultivating Your Inner Observer

  • Acupuncture Treatments

  • Contemplative Exercises

  • Meditation and Somatic Exercises

  • Experiential Practices to Free our True Self

Come as you are, and leave feeling more connected, more open, and more fully your Authentic Self.
